The event, which will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2017, returns to Courmayeur in the Italian Alps from Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 January.
Pavegen is a clean-tech company that pioneered a flooring technology to generate electricity from the kinetic energy of footsteps. Laurence launched the business and filed the first patents from his bedroom with £200 in 2009. The technology is now used to deliver commercial projects for major global brands including Nike, Coca-Cola, Heathrow Airport, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Diageo, Lexus, Ford and Westfield.
Ezra Nahome, CEO of Lambert Smith Hampton, said: “The word ‘disruptor’ is over-used in our industry, but Laurence is one of the few people who justifies the tag.
“I have no doubt that Laurence will make a real impact at the Ski Challenge and Business Forum, just as he did at a Talent Academy event that we held for our staff a couple of months ago. He’s an ideal speaker for our 30th anniversary Ski Challenge and Business Forum, not just because he’s headlined high profile events such as TED Talks but also because his visionary ideas will inspire everyone who’s interested in helping to shape our industry’s future.
“We plan to announce additional speakers over the coming weeks to ensure that the Ski Challenge and Business Forum remains the industry’s premier skiing and networking gathering.”
The Lambert Smith Hampton Ski Challenge and Business Forum is one of the commercial property industry’s most highly-regarded events, with over 250 attendees in 2016. Delegates include owners, occupiers, fund managers and managing directors from some of the largest property companies in the UK.
The event is sponsored by CoStar, DWF and Fairfield Real Estate Finance.
