A flagship Build-to-Rent (BTR) scheme in Peterborough has fully let the first phase of development and marketing has commenced on the second phase, which is due to complete in Q1 2025.
Indigo, a development of 315 new affordable homes for rent, has been delivered by housing association, Cross Keys Homes and provides a range of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes, individual balconies and a private communal courtyard.
The first phase, comprising 131 properties, was completed in October 2024 and all units were subsequently let by December. Construction of the second phase, comprising 184 homes, is now nearing completion and currently being marketed, with 85 already pre-let.
Our LSH Residential team advised on the development and build process and has since been appointed to market the units, along with local letting agent, William H Brown, a sister brand within the wider Connells Group.
Paul Noble, managing director of LSH Residential, said: “This is an example of a project that squarely meets the needs of the market it serves. Indigo offers quality contemporary accommodation at genuinely affordable rents, in the heart of a city centre location that also offers high-speed access to central London. The quality of the finished product and its subsequent letting performance is testament to the vision and diligence of the entire team at Cross Keys Homes”.
Ezra Nahome, LSH Group CEO commented: “Project Indigo showcases how we can bring together complementary services across the business and deliver on yet another successful BTR project”.
Cross Keys Homes’ chief executive, Claire Higgins, added: “We are delighted to have fully let the first phase of Indigo apartments in such a short space of time. Indigo is a fantastic development that is helping transform the way people live, work and socialise in today’s modern society. We hope that by developing Indigo for affordable housing and offering city centre living that we can free up more affordable housing in Peterborough for those who have been priced out of the housing market, helping to combat the housing crisis.”
The first residents at Indigo moved in during October and the entire development is expected to be fully occupied by mid-2025.
LSH Residential is one of the country’s largest residential property managers, with a managed portfolio of almost 50,000 units.
