New National Head of Planning at LSH

A new National Head of Planning role has been created to support the ongoing growth of our Planning, Regeneration & Infrastructure (PR+I) division. Steve Hemming will assume responsibility for co-ordinating activities across LSH’s national planning consultancy team and supporting clients across the development arena.

A chartered town planner, Steve has been with LSH for 20 years, during which time he has advised clients including Barratt David Wilson, Vistry Partnerships, Department of Health, Ministry of Defence, Opus Land, Homes England, BBC, Barwood Capital and Historic England and advised on landmark schemes such asthe large scale SUE’s across Northamptonshire, redevelopment of Broadcasting House, Llandaff for BBC, delivery of new HQ for Severn Trent Water and a number of large scale BTR and commercial developments across Birmingham City Centre.

Commenting on his appointment, Steve Hemming said: “I can’t remember a time in which planning has enjoyed such prominence in both the political agenda and wider public consciousness. This is definitely a period of opportunity for all of us at LSH and I am honoured to be tasked with leading such a talented team”.

Dr Steven Norris, head of LSH’s PR+I division, added: “We know from working with both our public and private sector clients that the planning system – when applied correctly – has the power to unlock opportunities and nurture communities. Under Steve’s guidance, our national planning team will continue to play their role in this process and in delivering vital new homes, major regeneration projects and infrastructure”.

LSH’s national planning team comprises around 30 professionals, who sit within the wider PR+I division focussed on urban regeneration, housing, transport and infrastructure. Clients include Hill Group, Cole Waterhouse, NHS Property Services, Essex County Council, Richborough Estates, Kier, Keepmoat Homes, Cerberus, Calor Gas, Nationwide and Hovis.
