Katy Brindley, Head of Property and Asset Management for Yorkshire and the North East, and James Taylor, Head of Valuation in Leeds are two of 78 aspiring young professionals – aged 35 and under - that have been shortlisted to be crowned ‘Young Surveyor of the Year’ in their respective sector or specialism. 

LSH also has a contender in the Commercial Agency category from the Midlands region in Gemma Butler, who is based in the firm’s Birmingham office. 

Matthew Scrimshaw, Head of the North region at LSH, commented: "To have two people shortlisted from across the Yorkshire region is an excellent achievement and one which we are really proud of. Katy and James are both valuable assets to the Yorkshire business and their nominations are testimony to their professionalism and dedication to providing excellent levels of service to our clients. We wish them both the best of luck in their respective categories." 

Commenting, Katy said: “I’m delighted to have been shortlisted for these awards. I’ve had the opportunity to work with local and national clients, managing a wide variety of fantastic buildings which has helped me gain significant experience in many aspects of commercial property. I’ve also worked with some wonderful people throughout my career who’ve helped me develop and progress, so I feel very fortunate to have been recognised for my achievements.” J
