A business park has put up the ‘no vacancies’ sign after two Derbyshire leisure businesses took on new premises.
The new tenancies at Englender Business and Distribution Centre, South Normanton, have been hailed as great news for the area.
Grangers International Ltd, which provides water-proofing and cleaning products for outdoor clothing and equipment, has agreed a three-year lease on Unit 1, a 24,000 sq ft warehouse on the estate.
The move came after the business, which also owns the Cherry Blossom shoecare brand and has a manufacturing base at Clover Nook Industrial Park, Alfreton, was keen to secure a nearby distribution centre.
Karolina Jones, General Manager, said: “We have been looking in the market for some time trying to find the right building on the terms we required. The unit at the Englender Business and Distribution Centre gave us the space we required in our target location and we were able to work with the landlord to secure the terms that we were seeking.”
Victoria Berryman, Surveyor in the Industrial and logistics team at LSH’s Nottingham office, said: “To reach 100% capacity and add a company of the calibre of Grangers International to the existing tenancy schedule is a fantastic result.”
Existing tenant Equip Outdoor Technologies Ltd, a leading provider of outdoor leisure clothing and equipment, has also agreed a new lease of 5,000 sq ft of office accommodation at the estate, complementing the 30,000 sq.ft. of warehousing that it took there 12 months ago.
Ryan Bennett, finance director of Equip Outdoor Technologies, said the company had been looking at ways to combine some of its business units since it moved to the estate.
“The availability of the office suite gave us the opportunity we needed and, because we have built up a relationship with the landlord and their agents over the past 12 months, we were able to swiftly agree terms to facilitate our expansion on site,” he said.
“The close proximity to our other premises ensures there are no staff concerns in relation to relocating teams within our business.”
Sean Bremner, director of the industrial and logistics at LSH’s Nottingham office, said: “We are delighted to have secured further commitment from Equip Outdoor Technologies Limited. It is a significant player within the leisure industry and we wish them every success for future growth.”
The Englender Business and Distribution Centre is less than two miles from Junction 28 of the M1 and tenants include Morgan Sindall, Alliance Healthcare and Lowe Alpine.
