The company was initially founded in 1932 in Bermondsey, London by Friedrich Wilhelm Emmerich, and has been a highly regarded manufacturer of quality wooden products in England ever since. In 1966 they moved to purpose-built premises in Ashford, Kent where the online auction is to be held. The assets included are the full range of woodworking plant and machinery including SCM machining centres, edgebanders, Celashi moulding machines and tenoners, and an array of morticers, spindle moulders, thicknessers, planers,  circular & band saws, pedestal drills etc together with a selection of finished hand tools and much more besides.

Our online auction closes on the 11th August.

James Hopkirk and Andrew Tate from the business advisory team at Kreston Reeves in Chatham are the Joint Liquidators of Everwood Limited.

Chris Buller, Director - Asset Advisory at Lambert Smith Hampton, commented:

“Everwood Ltd t/a as Emir is likely to be one of the first of many manufactures to realise that after coming out of furlough that they have no real order book to restart the business and so have little choice but to close their business operation.  It’s a sad loss of a well known and regarded joinery manufacturer.  We anticipate considerable interest in the lots.”
