The proposed road will be located east of Gravesend and Tilbury, crossing the A13 in Thurrock, and will bring opportunities for further commercial and economic growth, particularly to south Essex.
Paul Fitch, Industrial and Logistics Director, at Lambert Smith Hampton commented: “Major road investment is a great contributor to economic growth – boosting industry and reducing travel times.
“Tilbury has already seen Europe’s largest ever logistics deal, with the recent 2.2m sq ft pre-let to Amazon. This major infrastructure project will further benefit the local logistics market by unlocking development land and encouraging rental growth.”
Roger Moore, Head of Compulsory Purchase, at Lambert Smith Hampton added: “The area in and around Tilbury is proving popular with investors and the Lower Thames Crossing will serve to strengthen interest in the region. The A13 has seen significant investment in recent years, where we are advising Thurrock and Essex County councils on land acquisitions, and this continues to increase the accessibility and attractiveness of the area.”
