Partnership to drive strategic change and cost efficiency

The BBC Workplace team has ambitious targets to cut costs substantially by 2016/17.This will be achieved by site rationalisation and the adoption of new technology that allows staff new and smarter ways of working. Property will become more flexible and more intensively utilised. LSH will work closely with BBC Workplace to deliver this strategic change, while ensuring cost and operational efficiency are upheld.

Trusted advisor for 18 years

We have been a trusted advisor for the BBC for 18 years – partnering them as they undertook many changes across their estate. The estate consists of over 6.2m sq ft, spread across 367 properties. During this time we have assisted the BBC in vacating 132 properties, equating to 1.62m sq ft, achieving savings of circa £90m. Most recent and notable in our partnership with the BBC was the completion of the sale of the Television Centre in White City to property developers Stanhope Plc for £200m.
